2021! This new year has started and the “new year, new me” mentality is flooding all of my news feeds. This messaging can be overwhelming, especially with what is going on in the world around us. I do think it’s positive to settle into a fresh outlook, a new start, but I don’t think it needs to happen on any specific day, just because it’s “THE DAY.” January 1…. You can restart/regroup/revamp/re-inspire your life on whatever day you want! March… June… December… January. Does not matter. As long as you set your goals and make commitments to YOURSELF, you are on the right track. When you make commitments to yourself, you set yourself up for a higher level of success. Over the last 4 months I have made several commitments, goals, manifestations for myself.
Some overall commitments I’m making to myself:
Get real. Be honest with myself and others. Dig deep – increase and build stronger relationships.
Practice self love and love my accomplishments.
Blog more often. Write more. Grow my networks. Build out my business website.
Be active – even something simple like a quick walk is enough. Something is better than nothing!
Read more. Play more. Explore more. Be in nature more.
I’m linking some of the items that I’ll be purchasing in the next month or that I’ve already purchased to help set myself up right for this wild year.
Little bit of what I’ve been up to lately. Lovely breakfast at Sunday in Brooklyn. The farmhouse decor gives me feel good vibes. Overall v cool place to go with friends or on a date.
Pancakes 🥞 yum. You know when you eat some bougie breakfast that’s hyped so hard and you’re expecting it to be the most amazing thing you’ve ever put to your lips? Yeah. This was okay. Should’ve tried something else. Very decadent, but too malty and chocolatey for me. Looks amazing though!
Some easy car shopping at McLaren. LOL just kidding. This Mirawai White color though, looks gorgeous. I want all of the things in this color. Blue white. Into it.
And when you want something, all the universe conspires for you to achieve it." – The Alchemist
I'm listening to this on audiobook. Many times. Trying to absorb.
he Great South Bay iced over. Starting to melt a bit finally, these pictures were from a walk I took on an almost 60 degree day in January this past Sunday.
THE Mirror – online at Target – it’s sold out online – but I was able to find one at my local Target – ordered online for in-store pickup. Recommended by fellow Glossier rep and amazing beauty blogger Amelia.
Some product favorites:
Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich – this cream is so luxe, its thick but not oily, its dense and nourishing. Its full of ceramides and fatty acids. It has a very very light lavender scent that is quite enjoyable. Best part about this cream is that its not a “night cream”- you can use it under makeup everyday! Love this for when my skin needs some extra love. aka all winter long!
Youth to the People Superfood Eye Cream – combining superfoods & science. But honestly, this eye cream is not oily, absorbs quickly, it’s lightweight, I really like this product, would re-purchase.
My go-to beauty brand, Glossier just launched Wowder! Not a powder.
It’s not your ordinary setting powder. Leaves no white-cast and is offered in 3 sheer shades. I’m a Glossier rep, and was gifted the Light/Medium shade. I’m a huge fan of a setting powder even though I haven’t used one in over a year.
I fell in love with a setting powder called Moonshot by a Korean beauty brand that discontinued making it. Originally published in Emily Weiss’ Top Shelf, I became hooked after trying it. I ordered 2 and used them like they were going out of style. Once I ran out, I freaked out after not being able to find more. 🙁 Nothing available on the black market (eBay).
In early May I talked to Emily Weiss about my troubles and not being able to find any replacements. Her reply was “I got you.”
Lo and behold, “she got me!” This is that powder. But nicer because it’s available in more shades! I’m obsessed. This does everything I want it to do. I use it on day where I don’t want that glossy look. When I’m over looking shiny.
It looks amazing in photos! So you don’t look shiny or have a flash on your face. But also doesn’t make you look cakey either! Complete game changer.
Love taking photos of Glossier products because they’re beautiful! 😍

Wölffer Estate Vineyardrecently launched a luxurious extension of their brand, the Wölffer Kitchen– serving “modern American cuisine with a Mediterranean influence,” basically it’s very wine-friendly food. I love spending days and weekends in Sag Harbor – needless to say, we went back for the Rosé Sangria more than once. I’m actually obsessed with the Rosé Sangria – it is not sweet like most sangria’s, it’s super fresh & just amazing. 🌸👌 See our favorite bartender Michelle for some delicious & unique cocktails! Also highly recommend the Caesar Salad – I know, how boring right? WRONG! It’s different & delicious – the croutons are awesome parts of crunch yet not too hard, dressing is perfect, lettuce is fresh, crisp and buttery.
There is a beautiful mural painted on one of the walls, and the hostess stand is decorated in the beautiful pattern of the “Summer in a Bottle” varieties. There is outdoor seating available in the newly renovated space as well. Perfect for dining or to enjoy cocktails! Don’t worry – despite what they say, the rosé is not going to run out. But just in case – get here soon!
Another highly recommended location, well-done by Wölffer Estate!
Recycling Clothing has been something I’m very interested in lately. I wrote last week or two weeks ago about Poshmark, an app to buy & sell clothing & accessories. Another way to do so is through the recycling program that eco-friendly, yet chic clothing brand, Reformationhas launched.
Scented Candles: LAB: Yuzu Ginger. Found on a counter at a friend’s house and it’s delightful.
Folk Rebellion– a super-cool brand encouraging people to unplug and live a device-free life. Portions of their proceeds are donated to the Children & Nature Network. Included in with the awesome tank I purchased, quoting, “Let’s Wander Where the Wifi is Weak” was a small green strawberry box, which later became the BEST part of my purchase. Included with the box were instructions to use…
Up-cycle the box to hold your devices and the devices of your friends and family. The idea is to put your devices into the box so you aren’t so wrapped up in them during dinner, or a movie/tv, or while just hanging out together. Enjoy the time being together instead of being glued to your phone and other devices.
Put a masque on my hair last night before going to bed – it’s basically a thick conditioner and I didn’t wash it out – so yes it gives a little bit of a greasy feeling before bed – but WHATEVER. Caked it on there – slept – woke up in the morning & did not shower until this evening. Hair feels phenomenal. Try it – highly recommend this type because I LOVE the way Oribe smells.
Lastly, a little bit of #INSPO to help get you through whatever it may be that you’re going through.
Freesia is a very underrated flower. Peonies and ranunculi are still my absolute favorites, but I kind of like these little guys. Just sayin’…
The only way to order a Mojito is “skinny” – light on the simple syrup, if any at all (if you’re out) & use stevia if you’re at home. Always ask for extra mint, ofc.
Thursday night I went to a website re-launch of fullbeauty.com with my dear friend Danielle. The guest list? Top plus-size models, fashion bloggers, Miss USA – Nia Sanchez and singer Meghan Trainor. Such a positive evening, including makeovers from GLAMSQUAD, fashion show, meeting a bunch of fun people, open bar…
The Brooklyn Museum just closed a particularly awesome exhibit on March 1st titled, “Killer Heels.” I viewed last week and had a great time wandering the museum by myself with my iPhone gawking over all of these beautiful versions of heels from past and present. Video describing the exhibit is below.
Breakfasts recently. 1 egg yolk, 2 egg whites, 1/4 cup sparkling water, 1/2 cup oatmeal, cinnamon (LOTS!) cook on low heat in a small pan with cooking spray. Serve with sugar free maple syrup. Yum diet food <3

1. How to NOT Look like a Hot Mess Don’t rush into work every day. Leave earlier so you get there on time. Wake up a little earlier. Take an earlier train or subway. You’ll look well-rested and prettier to people passing by when you’re leisurely walking instead of running like a #crazybetch.
2. Officially switching over to hot caffeinated beverages as of today because I like to make weird rules for myself like that. But really, just so I can break them.
3. The best box to ever receive, ever.
Relax, it’s nail polish. I know… this color is a fantastic red and I’m obsessed.
4. P.S. Dept
An iPhone app established in 2012 that’s your personal shopper – it does the research for you. Text it what you’re looking for and a real-life store employee comes back with options at various locations. You are able to simply add to your cart & check out. The personal shopper takes care of it, sends a receipt & gets you on your way! Simplicity. Awaiting my newest addition coming from LA – check back!
5. Life looks better in black. Much better. Black sunglasses. Tom Ford sunglasses.
Replacement for my Chanel’s. RIP
I keep things black & white. Mostly black. It looks better. Sometimes red.
